Mina has just completed her MSc in Japanese Studies at the University of Oxford, focusing on anthropology. Prior to that she did a BA in Natural Sciences at Cambridge (2013). Mina joined Lloyd's Register Foundation for one week as a micro-intern. The aim was to use the Heritage & Education Centre's digital collections and other sources to analyse current safety challenges using an informed by the past approach. The Hindsight Perspectives project matched all of Mina's interests in the meeting ground between science and history, technology and people. What struck her on learning about the Foundation's goals was how foward-thinking it is: "There was an optimism to it, to think that the world really could change to be safer and better for the many."
