Public engagement with our materials

As the Heritage & Education continue to focus on public engagement with its materials, the team have started to conduct crowdsourcing projects utilising the public's input to provide historical information on Lloyd's Register subjects. Our first crowdsourcing project HEC needs you! was launched in November 2016 and continues to discover information concerning the 15 men named in 71 Fenchurch Street's First World War Memorial.

In March 2017, the Heritage & Education Centre launched it's 'Past Chairmen' project - which highlighted the significant contributions of the 21 Lloyd's Register Chairmen throughout history. An updated version of this project is currently under development.

In future, the Centre hope to organise further projects involving crowdsourcing, so make sure to sign up to our newsletter and follow us on social media to stay updated.
