Her stern cable broke and the ship turned on the bow anchor and struck on a rock, submerging the stern. According to the newspaper cuttings, 400 bags coffee in hold under water, 200 will come out damaged and 200 dry. She was then reported total loss. Her name is spelled as Guadalope and Guadalupe.
