Heritage & Education Centre launch new website

The Lloyd's Register Foundation Heritage & Education Centre (HEC) is delighted to announce the launch of its new website.

The website, which has been in development for over a year, sees brand new resources made available to the public. Highlights include:

  • Digitised documents from the Ship Plan and Survey Report Collection, including the First and Famous ships (Cutty Sark, Bakuin, Mauretania).
  • Online access to the Casualty Returns (1890-2000) and the World Fleet Statistics (1878-2000).
  • An updated, fully-searchable Library Catalogue, including over 59,000 books, journals and articles.
  • Brand new and updated blog posts.
  • Revamped enquiry forms, FAQs and contact us pages.
  • A new Events page, allowing users to browse and register for HEC events.

The launch of the new platform showcases HEC's ambition to become a globally recognised centre for maritime excellence. Over the coming years, the website will see further development and will continue to open access to the Centre's resources digitally.

So please browse the website and share! All of the website's resources are free to use, for all.

Kind regards,
The Heritage & Education Centre Team.
