COVID-19 Statement

Hi all,

We thought we would give you all an update on how we are managing during the current COVID-19 crisis. Firstly, each member of the team would like to extend their well wishes to you and your families. It’s at times like these when people really come together in the face of adversity, that highlight humanity’s communal spirit and resilience.

In light of the UK government’s ruling to self-isolate and enforce social distancing, the entire team is currently working remotely. Fortunately, we are well placed to continue delivering our free research resources, with additional support from our canine interns…

As of today, the Centre will resume publishing content to our social media platforms. After a short break, we hope our new content will provide you with a well needed chuckle, distraction or moment of intrigue during this challenging time.

We’re also excited to bring you some new research resources in the coming days and weeks that will provide researchers with a unique look at Lloyd’s Register’s heritage, archive and libraries. Furthermore, another digitised document release from our Ship Plan and Survey Report Collection is fast approaching that will bring the digital collection to over a quarter of a million documents.

To close out, we would like to wish each of you the best of health. Remember to wash your hands, keep your distance and stay connected. Once all of this is over, we look forward to seeing you again.

Stay safe.

Warmest regards,

The Lloyd’s Register Foundation, Heritage & Education Centre Team.
