Proctor Lecture 2019

The annual Proctor Lecture celebrates David Proctor’s great contribution to maritime history both in Britain and internationally. Fittingly, the distinguished scholars invited to present the lecture alternate between home and overseas lecturers.

This year's guest lecture:

The Spritsail Revolution. Government Interference and the Introduction of New Technology at Sea in the Sixteenth Century - Louis Sicking,  Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of Leiden

The lecture will begin at 17:15 and will be held in the General Committee room. Entry will only be granted to attendees that have registered via Eventbrite. Should the Eventbrite tickets sell out, please sign up to our waiting list.

There will be a drinks reception following the lecture.
