For the first time, the Heritage & Education Centre team will be participating in the annual Heritage Open Days event, the country's largest heritage festival!
We will be opening our doors on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 September to give you the unique opportunity to explore our historic Collcutt building and learn more about the history of Lloyd's Register. You will meet some of our historic characters, take on the role of a researcher as you look through our archive highlights, explore our interative exhibition 'From Coffee to Seaweed' and get a chance to be a virtual reality ship surveyor.
This event is entirely FREE to attend
There are two time slots per day. Two of the activities are timed but the rest can be explored at your leisure!
You will need to book a ticket through our eventbrite page.
We recommend a couple of hours for the visit. There will be staff on hand to answer any questions and help with your visit.
The building is fully accessible and there will be activities available for children!
Please note that this is a working office so there will be staff walking around.
The Centre will be closed to researchers whilst this event is taking place.
